Hey everyone! I am here to post a new short and easy tutorial on how to make an old vintage window into a mirror. My mom took 3 old windows that my neighbors were throwing away and saved them for me. How sweet of her =) Anyway, here is what you will need:

-Krylon Looking Glass spray paint (around 11 bucks but print a coupon off line for Hobby Lobby or Michaels)
-vintage window
-newspaper
-window cleaning supplies

1. Clean up the window. Make sure it is free of debris and glass is cleaned. Be sure to clean both sides, especially the back side that wont be showing (this is the side you will be painting!). This picture is of the front of the window that I will be displaying on my fireplace mantle.

2. lay news paper down on your work space. Then lay the window down flat on the newspaper (be sure to play it FACE down, the paint will be sprayed on the back side or reverse side)

3. Shake the Kyrlon spaint VERY WELL!! this is important or else it will come out lookign weird. Be sure your glass is dry and clean.

4. spray the reverse side with clean strokes. Allow 1 minute of drying time between each coat (about 5 to 6 coats). The mirrors won't look like store bought mirrors, it will turn out to look more vintage or old just an FYI!

5. allow to dry over night and VOILA! its done!

I have a beachy, rustic theme to my new living room, so this will fit in perfectly with everything! I have two more windows like this that I will be using for another project =)

DIY Chandelier

So today I made my roommate her very own DIY Chandelier. I did the DIYing for her which is ok becuase I love to do this stuff! I got the idea from Brassy Apple (tutorial here )ok so here is what the finished project looks like:

I made one for myself only its black and silver:

ANYWAY, I'm going to tell you the step by step ways to make this fun chandelier! ok so here is what you will need:

-4 hanging flower baskets (got mine at Deals)
-Mardi Gras beads (had mine left over from Mardi Gras but the dollar store should have some)
-tear drop shaped crystal beads (from Michaels)
-Large tear drop crystal (Michaels)
-wire (I used black 20 gage wire)
-wire cutters
-hot glue gun
-jump rings
-optional: spray paint for if you want the black baskets to be a different color

Step 1: lay out your baskets like this:

just pull the chains to the side. connect the two baskets with the black wire

Step 2: pull the chain on basket #3 through the bottom of the basket like so:
then use the black wire to connect basket 3 on top of the other two baskets:

Step 3: flip the 3 connected baskets over and take basket #4 and set it on the top of the 3 and use the wire to connect them:
I was a bad first timer and forgot to take more pictures of the steps. just go to the link above to help you understand better if needed to.

Step 4: after they are all connected, flip back over and hang up somewhere the you can finish decorating.
(picture above from Brassy Apple )

Step 5: take the hanging hooks and hang them on the side of the bottom basket, and remove the very bottom hook. this is where you will attach the large crystal:

Step 6: now its time to have fun decorating! you can decorate how ever you want. Use the hot glue gun to glue what ever colored beads you want on to the baskets. here is what mine looks like up close so you can see the detail:

Step 7: Time to hang it! here again is the finished project!

this is such a fun item to add to any bedroom or, in my roommates case, dining room! hope this was some what easy to understand! if you have any questions feel free to ask me =)

Top: Jewlery box from neighbor's trash =)
Middle: DIY bar lights I made
Bottom: iPhone charger I made from a $2 goodwill book

Here are some of the furniture projects I've done. If you have any questions on how I did them just let me know!

So all over pinterest I've seen these awesome night stands made from old vintage suitcases. Ever since I saw them, I was on a hunt for cheap suitcases. I came across some at an antique mall. I got 3 large suitcases for a total of $20! The pictures I saw had the suitcases on the floor just stacked up. My suitcases, of course, had a funky shape to them. The bottom end was taller than the top. So in order to have them be level, I used nails to level the front end. I also added 2 wooden balls I purched at Michaels to help level it out and give it a cute finishing touch. I painted them gold to match the latches on the suitcases. Sorry I don't have a tutorial on how to do this, but every suitcase is differnt, so you may not have to do all the work I had to do lol here is the finished project! I am so in LOVE with it

ps: I got lucky with the colors they came in. They matched my room PERFECTLY

So I've seen alot of these neon rhinestone necklaces all over Pinterest, and I must say I am in LOVE with them! I didn't want to spend big bucks on one to own one, so I painted my own of course =) Here's what you need:

-cheap rhinestone necklace (I got mine at Icing for $18 which is more than I wanted to spend but owell)
-neon nail polish or neon paints

All I did was figure out a pattern I wanted to use. I painted it on paper before I painted the necklace. Then when I finally figured out a pattern I wanted, I carefully painted the rhinestones. After they dried, I did put a coat of clear coat nail polish on them to make them brighter. Here is my finished necklace!

After:
Here's my first DIY post! This past weekend I FINALLY purchased an iPad. I didn't want to spend a bagillion dollars on a case and screen protector, so I ordered them online at a way cheaper price. I am so scared that I will scratch or hurt my new toy, so I decided I needed to make a cover or sleeve to keep it in. I searched on Pinterest and came across this super cheap and easy DIY iPad case from P.S. I Made This and decided to try it.  I luckly had some no slip shelving liners laying around the house. Here is a list of what you need:
-Shelf liner (got mine at Deals for $1)
-Duck tape (duck tape makes several different designs of duck tape so be creative with it!)
-velcrow or super strong magnets
-scissors

Unfortunately I don't have step by step pictures on how to make this, but you can find them at the link above at P.S I Made This.

all you do is cut the liner to the length you need to make a sleeve. You can kind of tell from my pictures what I mean by this. Then all you do is cover it with the duck tape binding the edges to close them up. Tape the magets so you can use them as the clasp (velcrow also works well, I used magnets because that is what I had already). That's it! you've now got a super cute and super CHEAP (cuz I'm all about cheaper the better!) iPad case.
